Welcome to all the newbies and lurkers that have joined this forum lately.
by smiddy3 ini`m sure you have all noticed the ever increasing number of newbies and lurkers who have visited this site over the past months and i am sure we could all collectively welcome them to this site and support them on learning the ttatt .
and helping them to navigate how they can look up older publications and quotes of the wtb&ts that they would rather remain hidden.. we all know jehovah`s witnesses /governing body never apologizes for mistakes they make they just don`t mention them anymore and explain it away as new light from god.. actually a big cop out.. welcome to all you who are new to this site .. every day their seems to be someone new posting which is great .. and if this is any indication of what is happening in all other ex jw sites the wtb&ts are in deep trouble .

Incredible! The guy is all of a sudden annointed. He must've replaced an unfaithful ex-annointed. Stupid.

CL&M part Jan 4 - annual meeting service report - our outstanding experiences
by loneranger inthis was the first part in the "living as christians" section of the meeting tonight.
speaker had two pioneers on the stage to relate their outstanding experiences for 2017. we have 23 pioneers and over 160 publishers in the hall.
our territory is densely populated with single family houses, apartments and condominiums.

Lol I remember really struggling to find someone who had a good experience and that was in a Spanish congregation mind you. They were difficult to come by and I usually ended up getting a pioneer who would recount a somewhat good experience that another publisher had.

Since leaving the JW Organization, who is believing?
by Issa ini left the jw organization last year during summer.
maybe some of you can relate.
who of you are agnostic or an atheist?
-
Are you serious
I'm agnostic at this point in my life. Definitely don't believe in the war-mongering, jealous, murdering, evil god of the bible. I haven't delved enough into evolution to form an objective opinion on it. At this point I have no idea how humans ended up on earth but I'm not obsessed with that either. Just trying to live my life.

Don't you think that some people are just better off within the org?
by paradiseseeker inthis is my first post, i will introduce myself later.
first of all, i must say that english is not my mother tongue (i'm spanish), so excuse me if i make any mistake.. do you think that some people simply can't cope with being outside the jws?
some of them are too worldlyphobic to be around non-jws, too dependent on a fixed set of rules in order to carry on with their lives, too dependent on the hope of paradise and resurrection, too unable to leave their personal comfort zone within the organization.

Bienvenido paradiseseekerš. I've had similar thoughts regarding certain ones in the congregations. If they are all in as a jw it may have a really bad effect on their lives if they awakened. Some have EVERYTHING riding on the paradise hope and resurrection. If they were to have an inkling of doubts their cognitive dissonance would kick in immediately to protect themselves and protect their hope. Ā”Mucho gusto en escuchar de tĆ!

Thank you Darkspilver! The future doesn't look very good for WT when most of the South American, Central American countries and Mexico have less than 2.5% growth. In the past, growth in those countries was huge.

JW's on my front sidewalk
by OnTheWayOut inso last weekend, the jw's ring the bell and my wife answers.
we live in a heavily spanish neighborhood but don't really speak spanish.
i thought my wife was quite clear that she is a "sister" to them, but maybe the one in charge of the group didn't get the message.

Wow 1.4% growth! I can't recall off the top of my head what the percentage of growth was last year. Does anyone know? I believe it's lower this year compared to last year.
Thanks for the information darkspilver!

May 20, 1987 BOE Letter regarding >> Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 << (aka āSimpsonāMazzoli Actā)
by Alfred insome of you might remember this period of time better than i, but i can recall a huge issue in the mid 80ās with the lack of qualified ālegalā brothers āreaching outā in my circuit while we had an unusual spike in bible studies (mainly undocumented immigrants and visa overstays from central and south america).
many of these new bible studies were actually very well educated but most knew little to no english, so they eventually settled into their nearest spanish congregations.. as they āprogressed in the truthā, the society saw huge potential in these illegal immigrants but could not give them any privileges beyond cleaning the toilets after meetingsā¦ until the 1986 amnesty program.. however, this program required proof that they were in the us since before 1982 and a large percentage of these illegal immigrant bible studies snuck in after 1982. in fact, the largest surge started in 1983 and continued well into the 90ās.
it got so bad that kingdom halls in certain parts of the us simply had no qualified legal brothers to fill the numerous elder vacancies that this unexpected situation created.

then the fees that would be paid would be viewed as paying for services rendered rather than as contributing to a false religious organization. [ā¦]ā
I don't remember those instructions since I wasn't an elder in the 80's but it goes to show how they can bend their own rules to whatever degree to obtain what is needed. But if a jw paid a religious org for any other services rendered there would be hell to pay.
I was in Spanish and if we had an undocumented brother who was ms or elder material he would be recommended as soon as he turned in an application with the Federal government to become a legal US resident even though the application process could take years. We never had one rejected from bethel even though the person was still working illegally with a false SS # or fake ID while waiting to become a legal resident. Bethel didn't ask about that. I guess it's "don't ask, don't tell".

Millions Then Living Did Not Survive
by Fred Franztone init's almost 2018, almost 100 years since 'judge' rutherford confidently prophesied that 'millions now living will never die!'..
so how many of those millions are left?
well, since it was 100 years ago, all we need to do is find out how many people of age 100 and above are currently living.
-

And all those millions died not realizing they wasted their lives for that cult, without the possibility of being resurrected.
